Great deal

Signing Theo Epstein to a contract extension was a smart move for the Red Sox. He has been a Major part in bring Boston two world series titles. He has brought the farm system from bare bones to one of the deepest in the MLB. He spun Nomar for two keys players in 2004's championship run. He gambled on trading the best player in our farm system in Hanley Ramirez for an injury prone Josh Beckett and an over the hill Mike Lowell. Both major cogs to the 2007 world series title. Ive never understood the revolving door at short stop and I still don't care for the J.D. Drew deal. But the positive moves out weigh the bad. Papi, Foulke(2004 only) Bill Mueller were all great pick ups and nobody ever mentions them. Even Mark Kotsay hepled us in the post season this year. It was a smart move to lock Theo up and keep one of the great baseball minds around longer.
