New deal for Rondo
After a dramatic week of will they wont they. Rajon Rondo and the Celtics are coming to terms on a new contract. Rondo was going to be a restricted free agent at the end of this season. The deal is reportedly worth around 55 million dollars. This was a smart move for the Celtics. Rondo is still developing into one of the better guards in the NBA. We have seen him take over games when needed. He is excellent driving to the hoop and dishing the ball out. I was afraid this was going to be another Chauncey Billups move if we lost him. It took a long time to get another guy in here after that for a period of time. He is a piece that can be built off for years. As the older stars fade he will still be running the ball up court. I like this deal and this should make a happier Rondo.

Long time since I posted sorry i've been busy. I love this deal with Rondo and for what he can be we got him on the cheap. I have a few ?'s thou. Do we have anyone up at the end of the year? If so do you think we will go after anyone. This off season is stacked and i know ray is getting older, i would love to see them get another stud like a Grainger or someone. Thought?
I didn't see it. What i read was a lot of interceptions by needham. i told you they'd lose to natick! they can still make the playoffs though.
there are a bunch of contracts up at season end. scal, ray allen, tony allen, marquis daniels, eddie house and shelden williams are all up. Pierce has an early termination option but i'm pretty sure that is not going to happen. If Ray Allen is gone i'm all about Joe Johnson coming back to Boston. I was so upset when he left. He was developing into a great young player off the bench and has turned into a 23 points per game player. Grainger is still under contract. Steve Blake and Chris Duhon are free agents and could be solid back ups to Rondo if House leaves. House isn't a true point anyway.
oh I'm sorry i thought Grainger also had a early term. Johnson would be great we let him walk horrible move. I see Ray Allen all but gone unless he dumps half his salary from this year. Mike anyway can you see this? pierce opts out allen leaves celts go for james? Baby will prob be gone 2 I'm glad allen will be out he sucks. I like daniels and house and lets face it scal is just 2 white for the game he looks like Daniel Stern.
I think pierce will be around. He is off to a great start. Scal is the worst and it puzzles me he is still in the NBA. James destination has always been New York. As great as it would be to see him in Green i doubt he'll be here. Both Allen's are gone. One old, one terrible. I like House and Daniels. House is more of a shooting guard. Davis isn't going anywhere. He just signed a contract. I think his latest antics may be humbling. Let's hope!
